hi everyone!

i just thought it might be nice to start a topic on the positives because it's easy to only remember the negatives. at least this way, we can come back to these when we're having really bad days.

my 2 month old son has been an angel for me for the past 4 days now. it's incredable! it's as if he's a whole new baby! i've really learnt to read his cues and to follow his lead instead of trying to "force" a routine on him (like all of the books i've read had told me to do). he's now a much happier baby. my favorite things include:
- going to see him in his crib in the morning and him giving me the biggest smiles
- bringing him to bed with me in the morning and him just talking away
- snuggling and him sleeping in my arms (i usually spoil myself with this once a day)
- bathtime... he's always in a great mood in the bath, it's like a switch... if he was crying, he stops as soon as he hits the water, he smiles and coos the whole time he's in there!

anyways, i look forward to reading your best moments! even if there aren't many, it's nice to focus on them every once in a while... gives us a boost and helps us remember that it's worth it to go through the not-so-good stuff!  Smiley

fabulous idea!!

Here are mine:

  • Sammy comes to our bed every night. He can't get close enough to me during the night...I often wake up with his little arms and legs all tangled up in mine. I love it Smiley
  • Sometimes when he really likes something I made for dinner, he'll say, 'Thank you Mommy, for making this good food'.
  • He's really gotten into coloring lately. He'll sit very quietly and still, fully concentrated on what he's doing. He looks so grown up when he sits there so focused!

My favorite thing is naptime, when Elliot and I are all alone and snuggled up together on our bed. <3 <3

I have good news to report!  At 7 months, Elliot finally likes his stroller!  My back is very thankful! (He is 20lbs!)  And he is starting to get used to his carseat too!  Yayyyy!!!
